about us

A black and grey illustration of an eye within a sunburst design, with long pointed rays extending outward.

The Unveiled Self was created for people who are exhausted by spaces that pathologize their depth, flatten their experiences, or overlook the context that shaped them.

This is therapy that honors complexity instead of reducing it.

Meet Chelsey

I was the kid who never stopped asking “why?”. My mind has always been drawn to what exists beneath the surface — the hidden patterns, contradictions, and meanings we create to survive.

I’m queer, neurodivergent (ADHD), and unapologetically weird. I believe in curiosity, nuance, and the beauty of being multilayered.

My work is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that people make sense in context.

After years working within systems that often reduced people to symptoms to manage, I created The Unveiled Self as a space that makes room for the full complexity of being human.

Today, I help people better understand the protective patterns, nervous system responses, and survival strategies that shaped them — with curiosity, compassion, and care.

Therapy with me is not about becoming someone else. It’s about building a more authentic and sustainable relationship with who you already are.

Healing does not happen by stripping away who you are. It happens when your experiences are understood in context, your nervous system feels safe enough to soften, and your full humanity — not just the parts that seem easiest to explain — is given room to exist.

this therapy LOOKS LIKE…

Less shame.
More understanding.

Less self-abandonment.
More self-trust.

Less surviving on autopilot.
More space to respond intentionally.

Less flattening yourself to fit.
More room to exist fully.

  • The Unveiled Self utilizes an integrative, trauma-informed approach to therapy. Some of the primary models informing our work include EMDR, the Anchored Relational Model (formerly AIR Network), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Systems Theory, Depth Psychology, and Predictive Processing Theory.

I view healing through multiple lenses — including the nervous system, relationships, identity, culture, spirituality, and the environments we adapt within. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we explore how your patterns developed, what they may have been protecting, and how to create change that feels meaningful, sustainable, and aligned with who you are.

    • Individual Therapy (53 minutes) Sessions $170

    • EMDR Intensives (1.5 - 3 hour) $255-510

  • Working with me often feels less like being analyzed and more like being accompanied. We pay attention to what is happening beneath the surface—the patterns, adaptations, emotions, body responses, and stories that have shaped how you move through the world. I integrate approaches like EMDR, nervous system work, and parts-based therapy, but I also make room for creativity, intuition, meaning-making, and the complexity of being human. Whether you're highly analytical, deeply feeling, spiritually curious, or somewhere in between, there is space for all of you here.

Thoughts, reflections, and a deeper conversation.

The Unveiled blog exists as an extension of this work — a space to explore the complexity of being human.

Some pieces are educational, some are reflective, some are simply questions worth sitting with a little longer.
